Matjaž Prinčič - Group Chief Executive Officer
Matjaz, a Slovene citizen, is a highly experienced project and investment manager and commercial director who has operated in the region for over 30 years and brings a wealth of directly relevant transactional and origination experience and contacts.
Matjaz was previously a Director of the KD group, the largest Slovenian fund manager, and was responsible for investment strategy, execution and strategic roll-out throughout SE Europe.
Matjaz has worked on numerous real estate transactions including project managing construction of factories, sale of real estate assets following company restructurings, the development of multiplex cinemas in Slovenia, and development of a business centre in Dubrovnik.
Since 2005 he has been involved in the management of the Illyrian land funds, including working as CEO since 2012.
He was educated at the University of Ljubljana, BSc in International Economics and at the Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany, MBA in International Business Administration. Matjaz is fluent in Slovene, Croatian, Serbian, English and German and has some knowledge of Russian.
In his personal life, Matjaz enjoys taking part in a range of outdoor activities and has always been a keen sportsman.
He is married and father to three children.
